Meet Dr. Julie Schiffel

Dr. Julie Schiffel was born and raised in Rowlett, Texas. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkansas and went on to complete her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. Following dental school, she advanced her training with a General Practice Residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where she gained experience in oral surgery, implant placement, endodontics, and complex treatment planning.

Drawn to dentistry for its unique balance of science, service, and community, Dr. Schiffel is passionate about helping patients improve their health through lasting care. She has volunteered her time and skills in Africa, Central America, and throughout the U.S. to provide free dental treatment to those with limited access to care.

What Dr. Schiffel loves most about dentistry is the opportunity to connect face-to-face with patients and work alongside her team to deliver compassionate, high-quality care. Having previously practiced in Austin, Dr. Schiffel is excited to return and serve the Southwest Austin community. She looks forward to meeting patients and continuing the tradition of excellent care at the practice.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Schiffel enjoys music and has been playing the drums since childhood. She also loves spending time with her husband, Daylon, their daughter, Mia, and their dog, Adi.
