Meet Dr. Assem Makzoumi

Dr. Assem Makzoumi brings warmth, skill, and a deep commitment to patient care to his role at Rose Dental Group. Born in Canada and raised in Cypress, Texas, Dr. Makzoumi knew from a young age that he was destined for dentistry. Inspired by his uncle, he saw firsthand the profound impact a compassionate provider can have on both patients and staff. That early exposure sparked a lifelong passion for dentistry and a desire to care for others with the same integrity and professionalism.

Dr. Makzoumi earned his bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Food Science with a focus in dentistry from Texas A&M University. He went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at UTHealth San Antonio School of Dentistry, where he developed special interests in extractions, esthetic dentistry, crown and bridge work, and root canal therapy. 

Dr. Makzoumi stays active in the dental community as a member of the American Academy of General Dentistry, and regularly attends journal studies, CE courses, and community service events like Texas Mission of Mercy.

What Dr. Makzoumi loves most about dentistry is building trusting relationships with patients and helping them feel confident in their smiles. He believes that dentistry is as much about people as it is about procedures, and he’s passionate about offering solutions that make a meaningful difference.

Outside of the office, you’ll often find Dr. Makzoumi on the lake, fishing, traveling, playing sports, or tackling a DIY project. He also enjoys cooking, spending time with family, and catching up with friends.
