Preventive
Dentistry
Each one of our patients is placed on a
Preventive Maintenance Program. The type
of program is dictated by the specific
oral conditions and individual needs of
the person. We are firm advocates of
prevention as a key in the overall
success of each persons oral health.
Many potential problems can be thwarted
by being proactive rather than reactive.

Oral Hygiene Instructions
Our office features the latest state of
the art technology to provide you with
better diagnosis and treatment. We pride
ourselves at being at the cutting of
technology in our field.
One of the best advances in dentistry is
in the field of video-imaging. We are
proud to be one of the few offices to
have such a technology networked
throughout our office. Intra-oral Video
Imaging is a high-powered camera adapted
especially for use inside the mouth. It
brings magnified images of the teeth,
gums, and other intraoral structures. It
helps us diagnose potential problems
such as cracked fillings, fractures in
teeth, and the beginnings of decay. With
this technology, we can diagnose
potential problems before they can cause
greater problems. This usually means
less extensive and expensive treatment
in the long run.
Computerized X-rays
This new technology where x-rays are
taken through the computer. Our office
is proud to be one of the few offices to
have such technology.
-
Safer: X-rays play an
invaluable role in the diagnosis of
dental problems. But many people are
concerned about exposure to
radiation. CDR eliminated these
worries because we are able to lower
the dose of radiation by 90%.
-
Better: As accurate as
conventional x-rays - yet reveals
things film cannot. The CDR image
can be magnified 300X it's normal
size to enhance diagnosis. Images
can be digitally improved to reveal
hidden problems and areas of concern
that cannot be seen with regular
x-rays.
-
Faster: Images come up
instantaneously. This means more
time in patient care and less time
developing film in the darkroom.
-
Smarter: No harmful waste.
The CDR system uses no film or
chemicals, so we don't have to worry
about disposing of hazardous
processing waste. That's good news
for the environment.
Laser Detection of Dental Decay
This is the most advanced diagnostic
tool for detecting dental decay
(caries). The laser can detect caries
under the surface of the tooth, in pits
and grooves, and next to fillings. No
more need for guesswork, or worse yet -
waiting till it becomes a big problem.
We can be proactive, avoiding more
extensive and expensive treatment in the
long run.
We believe that sound treatment begins
with our client's understanding of their
treatment. That is why we use
Interactive Patient Education. We can
help you understand your needs and
concerns and show you how we can reach
your cosmetic and dental goals.
