CEREC Crowns

CEREC is a revolutionary way to restore damaged teeth in a single visit. Watch a short Video!

What Is CEREC?

CEREC stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics. In simple terms, it means that we can quickly and economically restore damaged teeth using a durable ceramic material that matches the natural color of other teeth in your mouth. CEREC is a high-tech instrument that helps dentists restore damaged teeth. The new "what you see is what you get" software makes designing the perfect restoration fun and easy.

How Does CEREC Work?

First, Dr. Rose prepares the damaged tooth by painting a thin layer of reflective powder directly on the tooth's surface. Using a special camera, he then takes a picture of the tooth. No need to take a messy impression and send it to the lab. As the design of the restoration evolves on-screen, Dr. Rose views it with a full 360 degree perspective.

Freeform editing in three-dimensional realism makes designing the restoration intuitive and precise.

In the virtual world of CEREC, Dr. Rose manipulates and verifies all aspects of restoration design for accuracy and assurance of an ideal fit. The material block is then placed in the milling chamber. Minutes later, milling is complete and the restoration is ready to place.

What advantages does CEREC offer me?

First and foremost, the restoration can be performed in a single session, usually in about one hour. Using this technology, there is no need for Dr. Rose to make an impression and send it to a lab. You will not be inconvenienced by having to return for a second visit.

Secondly, the restoration is natural looking, because it is made of tooth-colored ceramic material. It's metal-free--no silver fillings to discolor your smile! The ceramic material is compatible with tissue in your mouth and is high-grade, anti-abrasive and plaque-resistant. It allows us to be extremely precise and save more of the healthy part of your tooth.

The Center for Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry offers technology that will save you time and more of your original tooth with convenience and comfort!
